July 27th 2018. The night of the blood moon. So spectacular…..I can’t believe I missed it!!! I enter whats app at 12.14 am only to find someone posting in the group that the lunar eclipse ends at 12.13am. God has a sense of humor. I had a telescope in a room and I had missed it.
Seasons. There is always a time for everything. It is possible to be doing the right thing at the wrong time. I was on my computer at the time but it was the wrong time especially if I was to experience the moment. Getting ourselves into circumstances at the wrong point in time or season usually does more harm than good. Jesus understood this during the feast of tabernacles. He understood seasons and timings.
John 7:8: “Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.”
Everything is best fulfilled in the timing God has set.
Ecclesiastes 3:11: “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
We know eternity exists but we may not see the entire scope of God’s plan. That is why we walk by faith. We don’t have to see the entire puzzle. What matters is the piece of the puzzle we have. What we need to do is focus on present moment in time. Not burying our heads in the past or worrying about future times and seasons.
God is outside of time and has already made everything beautiful for us in its own time for us who live in this domain of time and Whenever the time and season comes, we should ask Him for discernment enough to know and to act.
Christ knew the seasons and has given us the privilege to be like Him.
1 Corinthians 2:16: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
I missed the eclipse. You too may have missed your season or blown your chance for whatever it is. But our Heavenly Dad is one of infinite chances. Not just second chances. Infinite.
Ecclesiastes 3:15: “What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.”
Of course, this is not to give you leeway to squander your chances. The more you squander, the more you
delay your own blessing. Be vigilant. Discern the times and act. Not too early, not too late. No postponing. Always on time.
